Grade II Listed Secondary Double Glazing
About Grade II Listed Secondary Double Glazing
Secondary Double Glazing retains the original outward appearance of buildings in listed or conservation areas; our solution is very effective in sound proofing with the added benefits of excellent thermal efficiency which will offer extensive savings on heating bills.
Secondary Double Glazing can be added to the internal side of existing windows, offering excellent sound proofing, draught proofing and heat retention. They are of bespoke manufacture, with slim frames and installed with various styles of frames for rigidity.
Listed and conservation buildings do not require local authority planning permission for installation of secondary glazing as they do not affect the external appearance of buildings and local planning authorities class these as removable items.
Secondary Double Glazing can be manufactured in a very short period (normally within days) and come with a guarantee.
The majority of secondary glazing is single glazed, although some of our models can now have double glazing units fitted at the manufacturing stage, and these can have heat retention glass installed. Most secondary glazing comes in a white powder coating and has a choice of various coloured frames.
